New Zealand Farm Alliance Introduces XG25U, Achieving a Breakthrough in Smart Agriculture

[Waikato Region, New Zealand] – In New Zealand’s largest dairy farming region, known as the “dairy capital of the world,” a local farm alliance recently introduced 30 XG25U agricultural and livestock-specific mini excavators from Xiaogang. This 2.5-ton equipment innovatively integrates a precision manure management system, increasing pasture fertilizer utilization efficiency to over 85%.
“Each machine is equipped with an intelligent fertilizer metering system,” said Thomas Wilson, the alliance’s technical consultant, demonstrating the control terminal. “The system uses pasture nutrient testing data to precisely control the amount and depth of organic fertilizer application through the excavator’s attachments, achieving true circular agriculture.”
The “Smart Pasture Solution” developed by Xiaogang Oceania in collaboration with local agricultural research institutions includes: an automatic leveling system adapted to hilly terrain, food-grade hydraulic oil lines to prevent feed contamination, and an automatic operation planning module that can be linked with drone mapping data. After the initial deployment of the equipment, annual fertilizer costs for the farms decreased by 40%, and pasture yield per unit area increased by 18%. This case has been selected as a sustainable agriculture demonstration project by the New Zealand Ministry of Agriculture.
