What’s more, the cost of electric forklift is much lower than that of fuel forklift, which is a significant economic benefit in the long run.
In addition to electric forklift, hydrogen AGV has also become the new star of green handling. The person in charge of an auto parts manufacturing enterprise introduced to the reporter that they recently introduced a batch of hydrogen AGVs for workshop material transport, these AGVs have fast hydrogen refuelling speed and long range, which can fully meet the demand of high-intensity operation, and only emit water in the process of operation, which really realises zero pollution.
‘The promotion and application of green handling equipment can not be separated from the guidance and support of the policy.’ The relevant person in charge of China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing said that in recent years, the state has issued a series of policy measures to encourage enterprises to use new energy handling equipment, and promote the green transformation of the logistics industry. For example, subsidies are given for the purchase of new energy forklifts, and restrictions are imposed on high-emission fuel forklifts.
The favourable policies have also stimulated market vitality. The reporter learnt that a number of domestic forklift and AGV manufacturers have increased R&D investment and launched a series of new energy handling equipment with excellent performance and high cost performance to meet the diversified needs of the market.
‘In the future, green handling equipment will become the mainstream of the logistics industry.’ Industry experts predict that with the advancement of technology and cost reduction, new energy handling equipment such as electric forklifts and hydrogen AGVs will accelerate the replacement of traditional fuel equipment, promoting the logistics industry to a greener, low-carbon and sustainable direction.
