On the evening of December 28, 2024, all employees of Xiaogang Group gathered at the newly completed employee activity center at the Changsha production base for a simple yet heartwarming year-end celebration. Colleagues from various branches and offices across the country shared their achievements and memorable moments from the past year in a lively and festive atmosphere.

A Heartwarming Opening
At 6 PM, the annual meeting officially kicked off with the screening of “Xiaogang Striver,” a video produced and directed by the production base staff. The video featured not only footage of frontline workers diligently assembling equipment, but also images of after-sales engineers working tirelessly at various construction sites, and even heartwarming scenes of cafeteria staff smiling while packing New Year’s Eve dinner boxes. The chairman said in his speech, “This year, every piece of equipment embodies everyone’s hard work. Tonight, there are no presentation slides, only a family reunion.”

Simple and Sincere Recognition
The awards ceremony focused on recognizing exemplary employees from the grassroots level: Li Weiguo, a veteran worker from the assembly workshop, received the “Quality Guardian Award” for his flawless work throughout the year, and young after-sales engineer Zhang Lei received the “Customer Care Award” for his three consecutive nights of emergency repairs for clients. The most special award went to the cafeteria team – their “Weekly Hometown Dishes,” tailored to the tastes of employees from different regions, were widely praised. Each award winner received a custom-made medal and a blessing card handwritten by the management team. A Time of Joy, Created and Performed by Ourselves
The evening’s program was entirely composed of “homegrown” performances prepared by the employees themselves:
The ladies from the purchasing department ignited the audience with their square dance performance of “Little Apple,” their work uniforms paired with red scarves eliciting bursts of laughter.
The young men from the R&D department performed “The Ordinary Road” with a “mechanical band” they built using excavator parts.
A two-person comedic performance from the Northeast branch incorporated product quality points into rhyming verses.
The entire finance department performed a chorus of “Tomorrow Will Be Better,” and despite occasional off-key notes, they received the warmest applause.
Warmth in the Reunion Dinner
The New Year’s Eve dinner menu was chosen by employee vote: Hunan-style stir-fried pork with chili peppers, Jiangsu and Zhejiang-style braised meatballs, Northeast-style chicken stew, Cantonese steamed fish… Each table also had dumpling dough and fillings prepared, allowing everyone to make “dumplings from all families” during the meal. The raffle prizes interspersed throughout the banquet were practical: paid leave, home appliance sets, children’s education subsidies, etc., each gift tailored to the employees’ actual needs.
A Heartwarming Moment of Passing on the Legacy
The most touching moment of the evening came at the end—the first 12 employees who joined the company were invited onto the stage. They received unexpected gifts: commemorative photo albums created by the company using their work photos from over the years. Young employee representatives then presented the senior employees with red scarves, symbolizing the warm passing on of the legacy. Finally, everyone sang “Singing the Motherland” together, with family photos of each employee scrolling across the big screen.
“We won’t talk about grand blueprints, only heartfelt words,” the general manager raised his glass, “Thank you to every colleague for your contributions, and thank you to every family for your support. In the new year, we will continue to make reliable equipment, be reliable people, and live fulfilling lives!”
This annual meeting, without a glamorous stage or celebrity guests, was filled with genuine laughter and emotion. As the employees left the venue with their New Year’s gift packages, the red banner at the entrance of the production base, “Go home safely and happily, and celebrate the New Year joyfully,” shone particularly warm and bright in the winter night.
